Mar 31 thru April 2, The final week with Roxanne training Hannah

Thursday, Mar 31. A new day as today Aleacia brought Hannah to Kim's pasture so I could teach her the first ecollar lesson against really HIGH distractions.

Pree and I went in first.

Then it was time for the first lesson. Whew!

And home again. A good day of training for all!

Friday April 1, 2022

I opted to take Boaz today to see how Hannah would do with him.  I've had to do "Leave it" with Hannah and using the ecollar single pop with Sugar and with Pree. So wanted to see how she'd do with Boaz.

Boaz ignored Hannah and she quickly saw her inappropriate approach towards him was to no avail.

Ran both of them close to the Richfield water tower before Ladies Bible Study.
Then we headed to the Glenwood area
It was a GOOD day. =========================================================================

Finally, today, the last day I train Hannah. Thus far, she hasn't learned via the "Leave it" command to respect other dog's space. So, I deliberately opted to take Redd with me today. I knew Redd won't tolerate, outrun or ignore, Hannah's inappropriate approach.

Figured Redd would warn Hannah, then take her to task. That is exactly what happened and there was a scuffle, Hannah got bitten (so did Redd on her nose), and after that? Hannah was WAY more careful about how she approached a mature dog. But she bled as she got a surface bite just below her tongue and a small tongue bite (figured she probably bit herself in the scuffle). So, I kept giving her water (we walked on two different trails today) and finally just put some antibiotic creme on the outside bite which helped stop the bleeding.
And then it was time to head down the hill to my truck.
Got Hannah home, rinsed off the blood outside, put more antibiotic cream on her lower jaw, gave her water, dried her off with some white dish towels and kenneled her. She was T.O.A.S.T. And I was in tears as it's a bittersweet day, the final day of training.
