Touch is a critical game to teach a young puppy. Simply present the palm of your hand, command "Touch" and have your body language and your free hand bringing the puppy to you on their string. Praise as soon as their nose touches you, then release with an "Ok" command. This single command has multiple future training applications which I will explain in more detail later.
For now, if your dog doesn't know "Touch, teach "Touch" as this is far harder to teach an adult dog. For an adult dog to learn "Touch", have them on a leash and present the palm of your hand as you command "Touch" and bring your palm to their nose. Do this with both palms of both hands. Praise and release dog. Do this for several days until the dog begins to understand that "Touch" means their nose on palm of one of your hands. Once the dog grasps the idea of "Touch", using same mechanics and set up (on leash), command "Touch" and bring dogs head towards your open palm 1-2". Praise and release dog. Stay at this length until you see your dog is grasping the concept. Then, extend the distance to be 3-5" and repeat same sequencing. Your dog will grasp this concept quickly if you keep teach this almost like a game.
If your dog does already know "Touch", freshen up the use of this command as you will use it for teaching the ecollar Recall.
